Is circumcision a solution for recurrent balanitis?

Balanitis is swelling of the foreskin of the glans, or the head, of the penis. It is mainly caused by an infection or other irritation to the head of the penis. It is fairly common, can be quite painful, and is more common in uncircumcised males than in circumcised males.

Balanitis can occur due to either a yeast or other infection, as well as from bacteria or sexually transmitted diseases.
